This FAQ answers the most common questions about the Rootist’s move back to a collaboration model.
What is Changing?
Q. What is changing with the Rootist?
A. We’re moving the Rootist back to a collaboration model between the Rootist and Amare. Beginning October 1, 2026, the Rootist will relaunch into the retail marketplace — available on Amare.com, therootist.com, and Amazon.com — while remaining available for you and your Customers to buy and sell through your Amare website, just as you do today. This lets the Rootist stand on its own in retail again, expanding its exposure and credibility, while continuing to play its role as an add-on within Amare’s Mental Wellness experience.
Q. What does “reverting to a collaboration model” actually mean?
A. When Amare first partnered with the Rootist, it was a collaboration with an established retail brand — a first-of-its-kind move in our industry. Shifting to an exclusive Amare structure a year ago meant setting aside the retail exposure and third-party credibility that helped make the Rootist brand strong. Returning to a collaboration restores that advantage: the Rootist regains an independent retail presence, and Amare Brand Partners benefit from the added brand exposure.
Q. Why is Amare making this change now?
A. As Amare sharpens its focus as The Mental Wellness Company, we’re concentrating our resources and marketing behind the products working hardest for us. After a little over a year, it’s clear the Rootist fits best as an additional product add-on within the Mental Wellness experience — not as a lead consumer or business-building offer — given its usage pattern, cost structure, and the strength of Amare’s other HERO products. Many of you shared this same disconnect. Returning the Rootist to a collaboration lets it reach the broadest possible audience while keeping Amare laser-focused on its core positioning.
Q. Is Amare discontinuing the Rootist?
A. No. The Rootist isn’t going away — it’s expanding back into retail while remaining available through Amare. (The one exception is international markets; see the International section below.)
Q. When does this take effect?
A. The Rootist relaunches into retail on October 1, 2026. That is also when the website updates take effect and Customers are informed.
Buying & Selling
Q. Can I still buy the Rootist?
A. Yes. You can continue to purchase all Rootist products on your Amare website, exactly as you do today.
Q. Can I still sell the Rootist to my Customers?
A. Yes. You can continue to sell all Rootist products to your Customers directly through your Amare website, just as you do now.
Q. Where will the Rootist be sold?
A. Starting October 1, on three platforms: Amare.com, TheRootist.com, and Amazon.com. We’re also exploring other major retail outlets.
Q. Will the price be different depending on where a Customer buys it?
A. No, but please note that the price of the Rootist products will shift to align with the direct to consumer (DTC) haircare market. Some products will go down in price, and some will go up, so the Rootist stays competitive.
Q. How is the Rootist positioned within Amare now?
A. As an additional product and add-on within Amare’s Mental Wellness portfolio. Going forward, our storyline and product trainings will market the Rootist that way — as a complement to the mental wellness experience, which our experience shows is where it performs best.
Q. What is changing with the Rootist products on Subscribe & Save?
A. Our goal is to align the Rootist pricing on TheRootist.com, creating a consistent shopping experience between the two websites and supporting your ability to confidently share the Rootist.
Following TheRootist.com’s introduction of a Subscribe & Save option at 15% off retail pricing, we’re honoring our commitment by matching that pricing on Amare.com.
Subscribe & Save is now available for all the Rootist products on Amare.com, with a 15% discount off One-Time pricing. This adjustment to Subscribe & Save pricing will also be reflected in Personal Volume (PV) and Customer Volume (CV).

Q. Will I still earn PV and CV on my sales of the Rootist?
A. Yes — you’ll continue to earn on your sales of the Rootist. PV and CV adjustments tied to the new pricing are listed above.
International Markets
Q. What about the Rootist in international markets?
A. At this time, we’re discontinuing all Rootist offerings outside North America, due to the restrictions and obstacles involved and limited traction to date. International markets will close out after selling through existing inventory, and no new international inventory will be produced.
The Future & Opportunity
Q. What is the Hair Stylist opportunity I’ve heard about?
A. We see a large and largely untapped opportunity in the professional Hair Stylist market. As we explore expanding the Rootist into that space, we’ll also explore Amare collaboration opportunities so Brand Partners can participate. Our current structure isn’t yet built for the smooth, simple program that market needs — so we’re working on ways to accommodate everyone. Stay tuned!
Q. Will there be more collaborations in the future?
A. Yes — and that’s part of what makes this exciting. Returning to a collaboration model frees Amare to pursue additional collaborations going forward, creating more products and more ways for you to grow.
Q. How should I talk to my Customers about this?
A. Lead with continuity and opportunity. The Rootist isn’t going away — it’s expanding. Customers can keep getting the products they love, and the brand is growing its presence and credibility in retail. Keep the framing positive and forward-looking.
Q. When will my Customers find out?
A. Customers will be informed at relaunch on October 1, 2026, with targeted Customer emails going out in the second half of September. You’ll be equipped ahead of that.
